BrowserOS neo is a free, open-source browser built for AI agents that need to perform real work inside authenticated websites. Install it as a separate browser, import logins from Chrome, and connect an MCP-compatible agent such as Claude Code, Cowork, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Zed, or GitHub Copilot. The agent can then open tabs, navigate, click, read pages, and submit tasks using the accounts already signed in on the machine.
A dashboard on the new-tab page shows active agent sessions, including the site and progress. Each agent works in isolated tabs, so several tasks can run at once while the user continues browsing in their own tabs. BrowserOS neo gives agents compact page snapshots and batches actions to reduce token use. When a run finishes, the session is saved as a full-screen, scrubbable replay with logged actions, making it possible to review what happened and find mistakes.
The product runs locally rather than as a cloud browser or remote headless driver. Logins, sessions, screenshots, replays, and settings remain on the computer, and the browser is open source under AGPL-3.0. It is useful for chores such as booking travel, replying to email, downloading invoices, reading work documents, filing expenses, and other browser tasks that stop at a login screen in blank automation environments. BrowserOS neo is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
