Luminar Neo is an AI photo editor for Mac, Windows, and mobile with tools for enhancement, sky replacement, retouching, layers, and generative edits.
What it does
Luminar Neo is a photo editor for photographers who want AI-assisted adjustments alongside conventional editing controls. Open a JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or supported RAW file, then use tools such as Enhance AI, Sky AI, Erase AI, GenErase, GenSwap, and GenExpand to improve the image, remove distractions, replace skies or objects, and extend the frame. Layers, masking, clone, dodge and burn, color controls, crop, resize, lens correction, and non-destructive editing provide room for more deliberate finishing.
The workflow scales from a single image to a full shoot. Batch processing applies the same adjustments across multiple photos, while presets help keep a series consistent. Pro tools cover sharpening, denoising, upscaling, focus stacking, HDR merging, and panorama stitching. Portrait features include bokeh, skin and face adjustments, body shaping, background replacement, and studio lighting.
Luminar Neo runs as a standalone app on macOS and Windows, and also works as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Classic, plus an extension for Apple Photos. Cross-device plans add Luminar Mobile and one-way mobile-to-desktop editing, while the Max plan also includes a Creative Library. It serves beginners, portrait and landscape photographers, real-estate and e-commerce teams, and creators handling large photo sets.
