Open-source SEO workspace for keyword research, backlinks, rank tracking, site audits, Search Console data, and AI-search visibility.
What it does
OpenSEO brings core SEO research and monitoring into one open-source workspace, with workflows that can also be operated by AI agents through the Model Context Protocol. Users can research keyword ideas, search demand, difficulty, intent, and live SERPs; save opportunities; monitor keyword positions; inspect domains, backlinks, referring domains, and ranking pages; and crawl sites for technical issues. Separate AI Visibility and Prompt Explorer tools help investigate brand mentions, citations, and answers across supported AI search models.
The workflow can be used directly in the app or connected to clients such as Claude, Codex, and other MCP-compatible agents. OpenSEO also offers a Google Search Console MCP connection for clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, and URL inspection data. Its documented agent skills cover keyword research, clustering, competitor analysis, link prospecting, audits, SEO project setup, and coaching. Teams that prefer control can self-host with Docker or Cloudflare using their own DataForSEO API key.
The hosted base plan includes the listed SEO tools, MCP access, and $10 of monthly usage for $10 per month; a free trial includes $0.50 in credits. Usage-based features consume credits, while previously fetched data, projects, and settings do not. Top-up credits do not expire, but an active subscription is required to use OpenSEO.
