Protoron

Protoron is a browser-based workspace for developing a film from an early idea through a first cut. A project brings together a story canvas for acts, characters and notes; screenplay scenes with action, dialogue and media blocks; location scouting on a satellite globe; storyboards; and a scene-based editing timeline with video and audio tracks. Keeping these materials connected can help writers and directors revisit the choices behind a scene as the project develops. The workspace includes Iris, an assistant that can help with planning, drafting, scouting and editing tasks. Users can review its work in the project and revise it. The Market area supports promotional cuts such as trailers, teasers and vertical social reels. Separate Motion projects create short animated pieces from a brief, with an AI-led treatment and a coding agent that renders and revises the result. Protoron also provides free browser tools for drafting loglines, building shot lists and estimating runtime. The service is designed for writers, directors and small filmmaking teams who want their story, references and evolving cut in one place. All plans open the same workspace; paid tiers provide larger AI credit allowances for assistant conversations and other AI operations.
