CogniFocus

CogniFocus pairs a focus timer with active app blocking for Android. Start a session, choose its length, and select the apps you want Shield to block. If you switch to one of them, the app interrupts the detour and the Goblin companion reacts to what happened. Recovery nudges are designed to help you return to the session after a lapse instead of abandoning it. Completed sessions build streaks, XP and Focus Shards, while daily goals and progress tracking make habits visible over time. The free plan supports sessions up to 90 minutes and blocking for up to three apps. Pro raises those limits and adds options including Manual Block outside timed sessions, planned sessions with reminders, cloud sync and recovery support. The app is aimed at people who lose study or work time to habitual app switching and prefer an active nudge to a passive timer. It is currently available on Android; an iOS waitlist is offered for people who want updates about a future version.
