Dropstone 8bc96f9b

Dropstone is an agentic coding tool centered on the terminal. You describe a task in ordinary language, and it reads the relevant parts of a repository, plans the work, applies coordinated edits, runs available checks, and explains the result. Diffs are shown before changes land, while shell commands can require permission unless they have been allowed in advance. Its workflow covers more than code generation. Dropstone can answer questions about an unfamiliar codebase with citations to the underlying files, implement features, fix bugs, generate tests and documentation, review code, create commits, push branches, and open pull requests through GitHub or GitLab connections. One-shot commands and JSON output make it usable in CI, pre-commit hooks, and shell pipelines. Model tiers—Fast, Pro, and Heavy—support quick edits through larger refactors and difficult debugging. MCP support lets users connect databases, internal APIs, ticketing systems, and other compatible tools. Dropstone is designed for developers and teams that want a terminal-native agent with persistent memory across sessions and surfaces. Its infrastructure can be self-hosted, and its documentation states that code is sent only to Dropstone’s own no-retention, no-training inference.
