RepoRanker gives public GitHub repositories a paid-visibility board with an explicit ranking mechanism. Anyone can submit an eligible active public repo for free, add a short tagline, and appear immediately without an approval queue. Paid rows sit above unpaid rows, and the paid section is ordered by total dollars spent. Each row shows both the amount already paid and the amount needed to pass it, so the next position is visible before purchase. A placement starts at $3 and does not expire. If another developer spends more, the earlier repo moves down a row rather than disappearing; additional payments accumulate toward the repo’s total. Unbought top slots can be held by repositories with the strongest star growth since listing, while the rest of the board uses the published ranking formula based on star growth and recency. The service supports browsing by language and project type and includes a public ladder of placements. RepoRanker is intended for open-source maintainers and developers who want a durable discovery surface for their projects. GitHub sign-in ties purchases to repository ownership, and a placement changes board position without changing reviews or review scores. It can complement launch communities, GitHub Trending, Show HN, or curated Awesome lists when a team wants an openly priced position rather than a short-lived launch spike.
