Bruin

Bruin is a data platform for building and running pipelines from code. Its open-source CLI brings ingestion, SQL and Python transformations, and data quality checks into a Git-based workflow. Teams can define assets in a repository, connect sources such as databases, warehouses, apps, and files, then run pipelines locally, in their own CI, or through Bruin Cloud. The platform also supports lineage, orchestration, governance, and observability across pipeline steps. For business users, Bruin provides an AI data analyst that can answer questions in chat with the query behind its response. It can also create dashboards and data apps, and run scheduled agents for recurring reports or briefs. The cloud service adds managed scheduling and other hosted capabilities, while the core CLI remains open source under the Apache 2.0 license. Bruin is suited to data teams that want to develop and govern pipelines in code, as well as organizations that need business users to explore data without building each report manually. Its self-hosted and cloud options let teams choose how they run the pipeline engine and AI features.
