MessyData
messydata.app
Paste irregular copied text and turn it into a structured table with detected columns, flagged uncertainties, and CSV export.
What it does
MessyData converts copied text with repeated structure into rows and columns. Paste lists, notes, email details, product prices, PDF text, website data, or AI-generated output, and the tool uses AI to detect columns, clean inconsistent rows, and flag uncertain parts for review. The result appears as a table that can be copied or downloaded as a CSV file.
It is designed for quick cleanup when information does not paste neatly into a spreadsheet. Common examples include contact lists, product and inventory rows, and rough task notes. The workflow is straightforward: paste the text, review the detected structure and any warnings, then copy the table into Excel or Google Sheets or download the CSV. No account is required.
MessyData works best when the input follows a repeated pattern, such as names and email addresses or product names and prices. Long paragraphs, mixed unrelated notes, or text without consistent structure may need to be simplified before conversion. The service is free to use with usage limits. Its guidance recommends avoiding passwords, private keys, financial records, medical data, and other highly sensitive personal information.
